Alison Chancellor doesn’t believe in the word “can’t.” She is driven to do things that other people believe are difficult or impossible for someone who has a disability.
Alison was born with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. When she was younger, Alison relied on a reverse walker to get around in school and later began using a wheelchair. Now, Alison uses a Quantum® Q6 Edge® 2.0 Power Wheelchair with iLevel®.
A resident of St. Louis, Missouri, Alison is a die-hard hockey fan and cheers for the St. Louis Blues. Her fandom is evident with the custom design shroud and drive wheel color accents on her power chair. When she attends games, iLevel helps her tremendously when maneuvering through crowds of people or crossing the street.
“I love iLevel because I can see and be seen. Cars pay more attention because they can see me when I am elevated,” Alison said.
Since receiving her power wheelchair, Alison has been an advocate for Quantum and the disability community, attending events and speaking to both providers and consumers about how much iLevel helps her in her daily life.
Alison loves trying new things and staying active. Fitness is extremely important to her.
“I’m passionate about fitness because it allows me to retain and gain strength, helping me maintain my independence,” Alison said.
Alison has overcome a lot of challenges in her life and believes in facing them head on. And thanks to iLevel technology, she no longer struggles in her daily life and has peace of mind.
