Rolling Around with Robotics

For the past five years, I have been announcing Vex Robotics for my high school. Now that I am in college, I am still involved with it. It has been a lot of fun to do and I think this is because of how easy it is to announce, because of my wheelchair.

iLevelĀ® Power Adjustable Seat Height has allowed me to keep a better eye on the action and competition that is taking place inside the field. I can see across the whole field, which is great. Without iLevel, I would have to strain to look over the border which can be frustrating and hard to do. iLevel has helped me maintain a presence within the crowd and interact with the parents as well as the teams that participate every week. Many of the kids and parents that are involved love to look at my wheelchair, which gives me an opportunity to tell them how great Quantum products are. I tell them that my power wheelchair with iLevel has given me a newfound sense of independence and confidence to take on daily challenges.

I have gained a reputation as the voice of Vex Robotics in the state of North Carolina, which is a huge honor. This has fueled my passion to become an announcer as a career, as well as getting my degree in communications at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte.

I can honestly say that I feel like I can take on any announcing gig or challenge. With my iLevel wheelchair, anything is possible, and nothing can hold me back. I am excited to see where this path will take me, and I know that my Quantum Power Chair will help me accomplish many more things. I am ready for the road that is ahead of me.
