With October around the corner, it seems that lot of people had a giant bucket list for summertime, but COVID-19 put a damper on that. Yet summer kept on going, but we were limited on what we could do. We couldn’t go to concerts and plays and I’m sure we all missed out on a lot of other summer fun. I had plans of my own. I wanted to catch a flight to California to see my family, I have a lot that still live in that area. I was excited to see them because I haven’t been around them in years. I was going to spend a couple weeks down there, then maybe even try to go to Hawaii this year. I have friends that live out there as well. I would have a free place to stay, by the beach, and I would get to experience Hawaii as a whole, from the weather to the culture to the food. Well, we all know what happened. COVID-19 hit and any chance of me getting on a plane came to a screeching halt.
This year I also wanted to go to a fun event that we have here in St Louis. It’s called Greek Fest and it is held in the county one month and the city has it on an alternative month. This is one of the finest experiences you could ever have. Greek Fest includes music, food and culture, and it brings people together to enjoy each other’s company and the warmth of summer. Hopefully Greek Fest can happen next summer.
Another thing I enjoy doing every year is going expos with Quantum Rehab®. I always like painting live and showing my art at the shows and meeting tons of new people. Painting live is one of the things I miss the most at this point. Sometimes, it’s the little things in life that you miss the most.
Just remember: there is always next year and it can only get better.
