My Visit to the New Quantum Rehab Headquarters

A few weeks ago, I was invited to visit the new Quantum Rehab headquarters. It was years in the making and I was so excited to go back and visit the place where my wheelchair was made!

I left school early and headed to Pennsylvania. When we pulled up, I was amazed at how different the entire building looked! Remembering what it looked like in 2019 compared to what it looks like now is one of the biggest differences ever! When I visited in 2019, the building looked more like a warehouse. Today, it looks like a professional workplace!  The entire building was transformed and, to be honest, I kept getting lost. It was really cool to visit the different departments of people that do all the things to keep Quantum running smoothly such as marketing and R&D! I took my Stretto for a test drive through the obstacle course in the R&D department. I saw where they do all the testing before a wheelchair is shipped out to its new owner.

In the marketing department, I saw the new “floating” catwalk where they take pictures of the wheelchairs for flyers and social media. I never realized how many people it takes to create Quantum Rehab. it almost felt like I was Charlie in Willie Wonka’s chocolate factory! While I was there visiting the facility, I met Chrysanthemum, Zoe, and Christina, who made me laugh on numerous occasions throughout the tour! I think the four of us can agree that the building has definitely changed a lot.

It was great to to finally met the other Q Roll Models in person and speak with them face to face. Speaking of work, thanks to Stephanie and her husband’s amazing Jim and Pam costume, I recently found out that Scranton, which is close to where the Quantum headquarters is, is where the TV show “The Office” was filmed!

Overall, it was a great experience to visit and I was grateful for the opportunity!
