When Michael Freehill approached me in 2017 about doing a St. Louis Blues design on my new wheelchair, I went all in. I knew it would to be epic, considering all of the other designs I had seen. It wasn’t just about color anymore. He wanted me to have something special that I loved. And I still do! Almost three years later, my view of life has completely changed, and I have him and Quantum Rehab to thank for that.

Little did I know though that my wheels would help propel the Blues to their very first Stanley Cup final, in 49 years, and first win, after 52 long years.
Driving elevated at iLevel in my power wheelchair during the 2019 season was super fun. I got a lot of “Let’s go Blues,” as well as ceremonial car honks, and “Your wheelchair is epic!”
I went to the Stanley Cup parade in June of 2019 with around 1,000,000 of my closest friends.
And then in September, I culminated my summer with Stanley by seeing and touching the holy grail: Lord Stanley.
June 12 marks the one year anniversary when St. Louis won it all and the city erupted. It was our time. I feel like a winner because I gained independence with the coolest wheelchair on this side of the rink.
