I am researching new hobbies right now. Until I settle on something new, my favorite way to pass the time is any activities with my two youngest children and my husband. The family focus has been on getting and staying active. I also collect and have a small jewelry business that I operate with the help of my daughter.
I have been learning to play the Nintendo Switch with the kids and I am finding some of the games require me to use my arms a lot (it’s therapeutic). I have more range of motion when I elevate my wheelchair at iLevel®. As a family, we have been engaging in outside activities such as walking, playing catch and even use my wheelchair to race with them while they are on their bikes and scooters. My chair is really durable and adjustable, which allows me to position myself comfortably and safely. My power wheelchair is equipped with a safety lap belt and I also adjust the leg rests to give me a snug fit while driving around during activities.

I like that my family helps me to find small or normal everyday tasks to achieve some aerobic activity. Whether it’s playing interactive video games, catching and throwing, pulling and pushing exercises with my youngest child or reaching exercises with my husband.
