Quarantine has been a time of struggle for many. Finding ways to pass the time has been tough but it’s also been a period of discovery for me. With the extra time on my hands, I discovered new ways to use iLevel® technology on my Edge 3 Stretto Narrow Wheelchair, which has given me greater independence.
Reaching with iLevel®
First, I discovered that I can reach into the higher cabinets in my house. This has been handy when I need to get a glass so that I can drink water. Instead of relying on my parents to do this, I can remove the burden from them by doing it myself.
Using My Narrow Wheelchair at High-Top Tables

Having iLevel on my Stretto Narrow Wheelchair helps me with doing my college schoolwork. Previously, I was unable to work at high-top tables. These tables are taller than my power wheelchair. Now, I can do all my schoolwork at the high-top table easily by elevating up to 12 inches. College is no longer a challenge for me. thanks to iLevel, this aspect of my life is so much easier.
Bathing and Transferring with My iLevel Wheelchair
Even bathing has become easier for me due to the iLevel function. I elevate my power wheelchair to the height of my shower chair and transfer over. It used to be a hassle to shower or bathe but now it is not a burden at all. Transferring in and out of my power wheelchairs is must easier. I have a stair chair that I use to go up and down the stairs in my house. iLevel technology elevates me to the right position so I can transfer to the stair chair.
Using My Narrow Wheelchair to Take Medications
With iLevel on my Stretto Power Wheelchair, it’s easier to do my medical treatments. I must do certain breathing treatments to help keep my lungs strong and functioning. I can raise up and start the treatment myself. This has made it easier for my parents, who also help me hold the tube to my mouth.
Thanks to the iLevel feature on my Stretto, my whole life has changed for the better. Doing certain things used to take a toll on me as well as my parents. Now, everyday tasks are easy to do. We are already up against so much but with iLevel technology, living life has never been easier. I continue to learn more about what I can do every day due to the iLevel function on my power chair. Who would have thought something so simple could change the whole ballgame? I have never felt more independent than I do now. Level has a lot to do with that! I am excited to see what the future holds and what else I can do. I am ready to take on the world with my Stretto Narrow Wheelchair and I am excited for new adventures!
