As fall approaches, it makes you wonder what it’s going to be like this fall and winter. I only say this because every time it seems like we’re moving forward in the wake of the pandemic, another variant appears. This year, I want to get outside more and try to force my body to acclimate to the cooler weather. As a quadriplegic, I get cold very easily. It’s going to be a test for my body. So, I hope to get outside, elevated in my Edge® 3 Power Wheelchair and enjoy the beautiful fall colors and foliage. Here are a few other things I want to accomplish.
Buy New Hoodies
Fall means it’s hoodie weather. This year, I want to find some super exclusive hoodies. I work constantly so I want to enjoy the fruits of my labor and wear some new hoodies proudly. Sometimes, you need to treat yourself and enjoy selfcare.
Attend Concerts and See Movies
Another thing I want to do this fall is attend some concerts. With the pandemic, I am wary to go to concerts with big crowds. At this point, I think I am comfortable to go ahead and attend shows and see live music. I also am ready to start going to movie theaters again and watch movies on the big screen, as we were meant to do. They’re opening up a new movie theater close by, so I have no excuse not to watch movies at the theater, when it’s so close to where I live.
Enjoy a Meal at the Fountain on Locust
I would like to go have a meal at the Fountain on Locust, which offers a mess hall style of eating. I want to try every type of food in the place. If you ever visit St. Louis, it’s definitely worth the trip!
