What I Carry in My Glovebox

One of my favorite wheelchair accessories on my Edge 3 Stretto® Power Wheelchair is my glovebox. The glovebox makes carrying items that I need so much easier. It is located on the side of my left armrest on my power wheelchair. I carry quite a few items in it that I need throughout the way.

Odds and Ends

First, I have my wallet in my glovebox. Obviously, I need to carry money with me and I have a great place to store mine. It is out of sight and I can easily pull it out when I purchase food on my college campus. Also in my wallet are all the gift cards that I have collected from holidays as well as birthdays. I also keep every school identification card that I have in my wallet which often takes me down memory lane.

Another thing I keep in my glovebox is my glasses. It keeps them from getting damaged and I can easily access them when I am working on my computer or when I am in class. I also carry writing utensils such as pens in case I need to write something down. Before the pandemic, I had to take notes while I was in class so I wouldn’t forget anything.

I always carry flash drives with me in my glovebox. I started doing this in high school and have continued the habit as a college student. The flash drives have many things on them such as photos and school assignments.

Charging While on the Go

The last items that I carry with me are my phone charger and earbuds. I am an avid music listener and always have my earbuds on me just in case I feel like listening to some tunes. My phone charger is a must especially if my phone is low on battery life. This is something that I need to have just in case. Plus, having the charger means I can check my emails while on the go. What’s great is that I can plug my phone charger into the USB charger port that comes with my Stretto Power Wheelchair.

The glovebox on my motorized wheelchair has been a lifesaver for me. Many times, when I leave my house to go to class I may forget certain things. With my glovebox, I don’t have to worry because these essential items are on me all the time. It used to be hard to carry items such as my phone charger but now I have no trouble. It’s right there when I need it. The glovebox has been a game changer and has made things so much easier for me. I am excited to see what else I will put in my glovebox in the future because everything in it is important to me. The glovebox is definitely one of the best wheelchair accessories I have on my Stretto motorized wheelchair.
